The Book of Lismore, also known as the Book of Mac Carthaigh Riabhach, is a late fifteenth-century Gaelic manuscript that was created at Kilbrittain, Co. Cork, for Fínghean Mac Carthaigh, Lord of Carbery (–). Defective at beginning and end, leaves survive today, containing a miscellany of religious and secular texts written entirely in known as: The Book of Mac Cárthaigh Riabhach. The Birthplace has some Burns manuscripts (poems and letters), and a further other manuscripts relating to Burns. [Note: as of August , the manuscript part of this site was no longer findable from the public website.
